ST GEORGES BASIN DRAGONS SENIOR MENS FOOTBALL
15 JUNE 2018
On a freezing windy Saturday, all three grades of the Senior Men travelled to Culburra to play the Culburra Cougars.
It was a poor day, results wise, with only 1st Grade coming away with a point from a hard fought draw. Unfortunately both 2nd & 3rd Grades recorded losses.
3rd Grade – 1-3 loss
2nd Grade – 3-6 loss
1st Grade – 1-1
As mentioned last week, the Basin Club thrives on people stepping up and helping out – we desperately need a couple of people to step up and assist our Senior Mens Teams as Managers.
Please, please, please – we need your help so that our Coaches can concentrate on their teams, positions & tactics without the distraction of filling out Game Sheets, filling up water bottles etc. etc.
Another thank you must go to Keith Graham, our Fitness Coach – who makes time in his busy schedule to come to training twice a week.
He not only puts the players through many varied fitness training routines, but also spends time helping to rehabilitate injured players.
At the end of every training session, he then runs the players through a warm down stretching session.
His efforts are massively appreciated by the Coaching Staff and all the players.
The Basin Dragons next home game is on Saturday 23rd June when we take on the top of the table Bomaderry – should be some great football played on the day.
Please come along and support your local Club – the more spectators we get, the better the atmosphere is!!
